the liar

No one understands Andy, a troubled boy who idolizes the image of his father, a soldier whom Andy never knew. As his mother Sharon uses desperate means to find a new father for Andy, what little family they have left is threatened when one of Sharon’s boyfriends inadvertently reveals a deep family secret.

“The Liar” is a USC Graduate Thesis film written and directed by C.O. Callister. The story exposes the emotional cost we pay for our lies, even well-intentioned ones. In this family, a single lie becomes a poison: dissolving relationships as it spreads itself from one person to another.
